Our friend Johnny Guitar in a drunken ramble, was recalling the
fashion tumult brought about by the May 1968 revolution in Paris.
The insurrection carried out by student leftists, and proletariat workers,
nearly toppled the French government. Mr. Guitar found that it was no
longer fashionable to make couture, he and many others felt
compelled to design clothing that captured the spirit of the time
and the events. Rock and roll, upheaval, and casual relations in
the sorbonne were his new inspiration. Johnny loves the days of war and
nights of love.
Encouraged by Johnny Guitar, Brown Sound is an experimental
exercise of freedom. Experimental in the sense that we are willing
to attempt a soft subversion. Facing a wall of mediated collective
consciounses, we are attempting to create a new paradigm for the "zeros."
This isn't traffic, it's a movement into the bunkers where
we throw paving stones at your head. We will be surviving on a diet of
chocolate milk and cigarettes. Later, we will be upstairs in your flat
reminding you to unbutton your mind as often as your fly.
